The tote as a beach bag
At 58 cm wide, 38 cm high and 18 cm deep, the tote takes a big folded towel, sun cream and a book. The zipped inner pocket keeps your phone and keys apart. The cotton canvas is not waterproof: a wet swimsuit goes into a bag first. Back from the beach, the tote goes in the machine at 30 °C.
At the market and for shopping

For a day in town
Its 38 cm height takes an A4 folder lying flat, a book, a water bottle and a light jacket. The zipped inner pocket (22 × 11 cm) keeps your phone apart, and the hook holds your keys so they do not sink to the bottom.
As a second bag when travelling

How to choose your tote
The size
The tote measures H 38 × W 58 × D 18 cm. It is wider than it is tall, so it fills flat, with heavy things at the bottom. The handles are 18 cm.
Sac Cabas or Beach Tote
Both have the same size. The Beach Tote is lighter, with a large zipped pocket that takes the biggest phones and a key hook with tricolour piping.
The colour
The canvas is woven and catches the light differently by colour: bright on the white, pearly on the papyrus, iridescent on the navy blue. A light colour brightens an outfit and marks more easily. The canvas machine washes, so a stain is no drama.
The fabric
The cotton canvas is upcycled: new offcuts of upholstery fabric from a headboard maker. It has never been used, and it is not waterproof.
Looking after your tote
Machine wash at 30 °C
The tote machine washes at 30 °C. Empty it first and close the zipped pocket.
Water and damp
Like any cotton canvas, it soaks up water in the rain. If the tote gets wet, empty it and let it dry open before putting it away.
Stains
Treat a stain as soon as it appears, before it dries, then put the whole tote through a 30 °C machine wash.
